Tarot Translation Group - December 10, 2012

Tarot Translation Group, December 10, 2012

Some believe the end of the world has been predicted by the ending of the Mayan calendar on December 21, 2012. Also, during the month of December, in 2012, there will be what is being called a Super New Moon, which may or may not foretell a great disaster, such as a large earthquake, huge solar flares, or other possibilities.  What tarot cards relate to these beliefs or happenings? Well, the most obvious one would be the Tower. This ending of the calendar, and the great galactic alignment that will also occur on December 21, may be the end of the world as we know it. It may be the complete destruction of everything we know and believe, but the beginning of a new awakening. Perhaps the Strength card plays into this scene, also.  We may all need strength, if faced with a disaster of such huge magnitude.

So many, many cards can come into play here.  The Six of Cups could indicate that leading up to the end, we may think back to our childhood, and happier days. The Three of Cups could indicate that we want to party at the end with close friends. The Hermit could show us we need to go inside ourselves and meditate on how we lived our lives. The Magician might want to try some magick tricks to prevent the coming event. The Seven of Wands could be telling us to stand our ground and try to fight in any way possible. The Heirophant may be testing our faith. The Ace of Pentacles might be the start of a new beginning of growth for the earth.

I can probably go through the entire 78 cards in a tarot deck, and in one way or another, connect them to the Mayan calendar predictions and expectations.  For myself, and others like me, who do not believe the end of the world is coming on December 21, 2012, this Super New Moon, and the coming day of the 21st  might  be telling us to not sit back and wait for disaster. This is a time of power. This is a time to use your gift of inner wisdom to make changes in your own life. By changing your life, by being more aware, by just being kind to others, you are making the drastically needed changes in the world, one person at a time.  Collectively, we can further a new awakening and healing for ourselves and our ailing world. And remember, on December 22, 2012, the Sun will come out to shine!
