Let's Do a Project!
A children's Halloween art project.
As I get ready to begin my sixty-fourth year on the planet, I have belatedly learned something about myself. I am much more enthusiastic about any task that needs doing if I think about it as a project. No, I am not making a meal; I am doing a culinary project. I imagine this is for two reasons. First, I grew up in a household of artists. As a kid, when a grown-up wanted to do a project with me, I knew it would be fun and creative. Second, I have always been a collaborative person. Projects welcome collaborators. It is cool to invite a friend to assist with a project, but not so much to ask a friend to help with a task. Of course, one of the big projects I am working on right now is StaarCon 6, but it's not the only one! This week, we have two great events for our local tarot friends.
This Sunday, please join us for our local in-person tarot meetup at our new location, Panera Bread at Wedgewood Commons, 3500 SE Federal Highway, Stuart, at 4 pm.
Tuesday, September 15, 7 pm to 8:30 pm: Third Tuesday Tarot: Number Sets
September 15 is our local tarot class, Third Tuesday Tarot, at my Stuart office at 7 pm. Tickets are available.

The StaarCorner
Like most community events, StaarCon runs on volunteers. While we do have a small staff, most of the people you will see making sure StaarCon goes smoothly are volunteers. Volunteers receive free admission on the days they work. Volunteer jobs include helping at reception and monitoring presentation rooms to ensure that everyone has what they need. As we approach StaarCon 6, we still have a few volunteer spots open. Please reach out to Christiana at 561-655-1160 if you would like to be considered for a volunteer role at StaarCon 6.
If you plan to join as an attendee and haven't purchased tickets yet, no worries. You can buy tickets online or at the door.
What should you bring to StaarCon? For me, a way to take notes, whether electronic or paper, is necessary, along with a big travel mug for caffeine. We love costumes and fancy dress at StaarCon, especially Saturday night for the red carpet and the Bardic Circle. October weather is usually great, so bring your bathing suit! Of course, plan to bring at least one tarot deck to every StaarCon session!
We are counting the days until we gather again. I hope you will be with us!

Tarot helps us see ourselves, even the parts of ourselves we would prefer not to see. The process of revealing, healing, and accepting the unpleasant aspects of ourselves is called shadow work, and tarot is the perfect tool to help.
In this free livestreamed webinar, learn ways to use your cards to help you understand, accept, and heal yourself.
