Goals

We are never too young or too old to set and achieve goals. The important thing is that we are always growing, always stretching, always learning and always looking toward the future.

Our goals can include developing new skills, moving forward in career and growing and healing on a personal level. Our goals can nurture body, mind and spirit.

It is important that our goals be specific, achievable and measurable. We need to be able to visualize our goals in order to realize our goals.

The more we understand our own power to shape our destiny and create our future, the more successful we will be at reaching our goals.

When we look to the past, we need to celebrate what we have already achieved. When we look at the present we need to be clear about our path towards success. When we look to the future we need to see our ability to manifest our desires and our destiny.

The Solar Plexus Chakra

The Solar Plexus Chakra is located right under your ribcage. Spiritually, we see this area of the body as being the center of the will. It is from here we draw our courage and determination to achieve our goals.

The color of the solar plexus chakra is yellow. To increase your sense of will, determination and motivation try wearing yellow and eating yellow fruits and vegetables. This will help support the solar plexus chakra.

In meditation, hold your goals in your mind. Visualize having already achieved your goals. As you breathe, focus on your solar plexus area. Release anything that might be blocking you from achieving your success. Breathe your energy into the solar plexus area. This will strengthen your ability to reach your goals.

Achieve your Goals with Tarot

Here are three ways you can use tarot to help you achieve your goals.

1. Study tarot as the Fool’s Journey. Learn the spiritual lessons of the cards, especially the Major Arcana. Each card teach specific lessons that are applicable to day-to-day life and personal growth. By applying these lessons to your life you will develop a core spiritual wisdom that will assist you in your journey.

2. Perform tarot divination (readings) to help you discover your blocks and your opportunities. This will give you the information you need to succeed. You can create a tarot spread around these issues, or simply ask questions of the cards such as “What blocks me from success?” And “In what ways am I holding myself back?” and “What can I do to move toward my goals?” and “What opportunities are now available to me?”

3. Find tarot images that represent your goals. Meditate with these images and print the images out and carry them with you.  By focusing on these images you will bring the energy of each image into your life.

Your One-Card Weekly Reading

Your One-Card reading this week is the Eight of Pentacles.

Some people see this card representing an apprentice, others see it representing a master craftsman. Still others see it as having to do a repetitive job.

No matter how you see this card, it represents work, and the ability to make money.

The Eight of Pentacles can encourage you to attend school for a specific trade. It can predict a new job. It can remind you that practice makes perfect.

The Eight of Pentacles reminds me of a line from the famous Max Erhmann poem, Desiderata.

“Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.”
