Be an Instrument of Peace
Lately, I've been thinking about the Prayer of St. Francis. You know the one - "Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace." In a world that is filled with everything but peace, how do we become an instrument of peace?
Here's what I think.
The first step is to find a sense of inner peace; an understanding that all is right with the world, even if the world is not as we would like it to be.
The second step brings in a quote from another spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, who said "Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible."
In a world filled with disharmony, each one of us can be a creator of harmony, and an instrument of peace.

October Global Tarot Circle Recap
The toughest thing for me about taking Tarot Circle on-line and global instead of live and local was getting used to the Webex technology. The second toughest thing is the lack of cakes and brownies available in the on-line environment.
October's Global Tarot Circle happened this past Sunday. We haven't solved the problem of baked goods, but we seem to have the technology working well. When a participant does have a rare problem, Webex is happy to take a look at it and offer solutions for the next time.
I am not a very tech-savvy person, so if I can figure out the on-line meeting environment, anyone can!
My challenge for October's Tarot Circle meeting was this. Often in live Tarot Circle meetings we do readings for each other. I wasn't sure how that would work, either technically or content-wise, in the on-line environment.
The technology was not at all a problem. Participants who didn't have microphones did readings in the chat room; participants with microphones could talk to each other.
We did quick readings with opening questions, and with no opening questions. We tried single-card answers and multiple-card answers.
After each reading we had the opportunity to talk about the reading and point out qualities of each person's reading style.
Everyone who wanted to give or receive a reading got a chance to do so.
The great thing about it, beyond the sharing of energy and fellowship, was that we got to see such a variety of reading styles.
Each reader relied on different skills and bodies of knowledge to derive their answers. In each case, the answer resonated as truth.
In this way we were able to learn from each other and support each other. And that is what Tarot Circle has always been about.
I asked for ideas for future meetings, and received two. Over the next few months we will do an informal workshop on Tarot Reversals, and we will do a session comparing different tarot decks.

 Your Weekly One-Card Reading
Your one-card weekly reading is the Ten of Pentacles. This card often pictures many generations of a family, along with their castle, vineyards and dogs. Traditionally it is known as the "Castle Card," and denotes a lovely home, or positive transactions in real estate.
This is a card about the importance of family. It speaks to many generations- those who have come before, and those who will come after.
This card asks you to consider the legacy you were given by your ancestors, and the legacy you will leave to future generations.
It suggests that you enjoy your home and your family with gratitude for whatever good fortune you have, and it predicts even greater fortune to come.
