Healing the Divide

With the close election results in so many races, it is no secret that today half of the country is happy, while the other half is disappointed and worried for the future. Our leaders will have to find ways to work together and make compromises.
Each of us can help to heal the divide in our own lives. Spiritual wisdom tells us that if we each make a small difference the cumulative effect will be stunning.
Today, and every day, reach out to someone whose views differ from your own. Find a place of compromise and peace. Focus on your similarities rather than your differences.

What Does the Universe Want me to Know?
This is my favorite question to ask in a reading. It is great to have a list of questions prepared, but it is also wise to be open to the answers to questions you hadn't thought to ask.
When you ask this question, you allow your guides, angels and Higher Power to work with the reader to give you the information that you need to hear.
Often, this is a great way to begin a reading. It can also be a nice way to end the reading by asking for a final piece of wisdom from the Universe.
In a gallery setting, I offer this question as a way to receive a reading if you are not sure what you want to ask.
As a tarot reader, the way to perform this technique is to simply ask the question and pull however many cards seem right, generally one, two or three. Let the cards give you the answer, and open yourself to be a true channel of universal wisdom.
The next time you are giving or receiving a reading, remember to ask this important question:
What does the Universe want me to know?

One Card Weekly Reading

Your One-Card Weekly Reading this week is the Queen of Swords. The Queen of Swords can represent a woman who speaks the difficult truth. There was a time when the Queen of Swords was considered an unpleasant sharp-tongued woman. I think this is because people do not always like women who speak the truth.
Some people see the Queen of Swords as a woman who has endured a great deal of pain. That pain becomes the source of her wisdom.
Often, the Queen of Swords reminds us to know our truth, and to do the right thing, no matter how difficult that may be.

Working Together

This past Saturday, November 3, I was honored to present a Psychic Gallery in a brand new venue for me, Insights Center for Personal Growth in Royal Palm Beach.

The energy of the gallery was exactly what I wanted it to be - supportive, fun and spiritual.
My favorite thing about galleries is that each person hears their own message, but also takes away wisdom from the other messages they hear.
When I first walked into Insights Center for Personal Growth I was impressed with the energy of the place, and the décor. This could have been a spiritual center anywhere - it looked, felt and smelled exactly right. The interesting thing is that Insights Center for Personal Growth is the office of two clinical psychotherapists.
There was a time when the world of physic readings and the world of clinical psychology were very far apart. As I said to the group during my introduction, there was a time when people like me might have been hospitalized simply for daring to believe that I hear the voice of the angels.
Now, it seems, competent readers like me have a legitimate place in the world of healing, and psychotherapists like the two lovely ladies that hosted me Saturday night have a legitimate place in the world of spirituality.
In some ways, psychotherapists and psychics have something in common. Our professions have both suffered a significant amount of stigma. Now there is understanding that everyone needs healing from time to time, and there is no shame in that.
When we are all able to work together we can combine the best that science, spirituality and compassion have to offer. In a world where so much healing is needed, this is a wonderful thing!
