The Right Moment
It is hard to know when the moment is right to make a change or execute a plan. Logic, intuition, and courage must align to find and seize the right moment.
Timing is everything. When we are ready to make a change, seize an opportunity, or have an important conversation, we must feel that the time is right.
Sometimes it is hard to know when the right moment is, or if the right moment will ever come.
Often, the moment is right, but we do not feel ready.
When we look to the past with regret, it is often because of something we failed to do, chose not to do, or forgot to do. For whatever reason, the moment did not feel right, or we did not feel ready.
Regret is never helpful. Whether it is entirely true or not, it feels good to tell ourselves that we did not do something because we just were not ready.
The problem is, sometimes there is a window of opportunity that is only open for a certain time.
We cannot change what we did or did not do in the past. What we can do is be very aware of the present moment. We must act when the time is right. Sometimes, we must do this whether or not we feel ready.
But how do we know the when the moment is right?
There is a combination of logic and intuition that can let us know it is time to move. It may be that the window of opportunity is closing, so there is no choice. It may be that the moment feels right. It may be that divination and signs from the universe seem to give the go ahead.
We must learn to pay attention, use logic, intuition, and divination, and be willing to take a leap before we feel ready. Then, we will seize the right moment for the right opportunities.

Is the Moment Right? Find Out with Tarot
If you are planning to do something and want to know when the right time will be, divination can help. Astrology can give information about auspicious timing. A pendulum can let you know if the right moment is now.
Asking the correct questions of tarot can give a great deal of insight when it comes to timing the execution of your plan.
Here are some helpful questions to ask.
What happens if I do this right now?
What happens if I wait?
What happens if I do this in three months?
What signs will tell me the time is right?

Tarot appears in movies and television quite often. Sometimes the readings we see in fiction are based on actual tarot knowledge and tradition. Sometimes, not so much. Here is a fun article from Collider about that.
Guidance on The Journey
Most tarotists agree that predicting timing is one of the hardest things to do. Yet, when we look to tarot cards to give us information about qualities of time rather than quantities of time, we can often get valuable information about when the right moment will be.
For example, the Knight of Swords and the Eight of Wands suggest swift action. The Knight of Pentacles advises us to take our time. Temperance, the High Priestess, and the Hermit all advise patience. The Aces may tell us to strike while the iron is hot.
When you are working with your tarot cards, consider which cards are slow, and which are quick. Which cards advise action, and which cards advise us to wait?

Finding the Gifts
Tarot is the gift that keeps on giving.
One of the creative things I have been doing during this time of social distancing is reconnecting with the ladies I used to play music with when I lived in the Tampa area. Now, we are not only socially distanced, we have many miles between us. Yet, we are finding ways to play songs together. It’s been fun, inspiring, healing and a little bittersweet.
The song we are working on right now is an updated version of the old Shaker hymn, “Simple Gifts”. I sang a version of this song with my church choir when I was a teen.
It seems appropriate for this time.
So often when we think of gifts, we think of packages with bows wrapped in shiny paper. I love to give and receive those sorts of gifts! Yet, there are many gifts that don’t come with giftwrap, and weren’t purchased at a store.
One spiritual survival technique is to try to find the gift in everything, even during very difficult times. During this pandemic I have seen this in clients’ readings. Even though this is affecting everyone, we are all going through different challenges. As part of that, there seems to be a unique spiritual gift, that is, a lesson or an opportunity, that is available to each of us.
To find that gift, and to nurture it and treasure it, is helpful.
We also use the word ‘gift’ to discuss our talents. Often, we don’t identify our own talents because they come so easily to us. When something is easy for us to do, we assume everyone can do it as well as we can!
‘Gifts’ is also a word that we use to discuss our psychic and spiritual abilities. Sometimes I find this an unhealthy nomenclature. Fraudulent professional mystics often use this word to describe their talents as a way of suggesting that they are aligned with spiritual forces to which average people have no access.
At the same time, if we recognize the word ‘gifts’ as another word for ‘talents’, we recognize that we can always work to develop our gifts, be they spiritual, artistic, or technical.
We often admire gifts of exceptionality. That is, talent that is unique and unlike what most people can do. On an amateur level, we need to know that even if our talents don’t set us above others, what we can do well, and what we enjoy doing, is still a gift to ourselves and to those around us.
Being able to find the gifts in our situation, and to find the gifts within ourselves, is a survival tool in difficult times, and a tool that can help us thrive in life.

Finding the Gift with Tarot
When you find yourself in a difficult situation, simply ask the cards a question such as, “What is the gift for me here?”
When you are struggling to grow in your life, or to understand yourself better, ask the cards to show you a hidden talent that you could develop.
It is easy to ask questions like this and pull a single card, or a small group of cards, in answer. You can also ask questions such as, “How can I develop my talents?” or “What do I need to do the find the gift in this difficult set of circumstances?”
When we dialogue with the cards about the gifts within and around us, we take responsibility for our growth, and for our positive and productive response to challenges. We learn about the tools we have, and how to better use them.

The Week in Review
This week saw the end of April, and the beginning of May. The first day of May is an important day on many calendars around the world. I led an informal ceremony on Facebook Live which featured a four-card tarot spread. I wrote about the powerful cards that appeared on my 78 Magickal Tools Blog.
You can see the ceremony in archive, as well as the other live events I do every week, on my Facebook business page and my YouTube channel.

You can always count on the Tarot Lady, Theresa Reed, for great monthly astrology forecasts. Here is what Theresa has to say for May 2020.
Cards for Your Consideration
It was impossible for me to find only one card, or a single set of cards, that speaks to the topic of finding the gifts within a situation and within ourselves.
Certainly, the Aces and the Pages come to mind as the beginning of a journey of learning and discovery.
The Aces, too, in the Waite-Smith depiction, show the heavenly gift of each element, and speak of heaven as the source of all gifts.
The Star easily depicts the gift of healing, while the Ten of Pentacles shows the gift of family wealth.
Perhaps it is easier to say that, just as we can find a gift in any situation in life, we can find a gift in each of the seventy-eight tarot cards.
The gift here is tarot itself. Tarot is a simple game imbued with the magic of fortune-telling, divination, spiritual exploration, storytelling, and creativity. Each of us may find different ways of understanding and connecting with tarot.
Each tarot card teaches us something about life, and about ourselves. The more we learn these lessons, the better our lives will be.

The First Day of Spring
This week Tarot Topics celebrates Spring!
The first day of spring, or vernal equinox, is an important time for many reasons. The spring equinox is the astrological new year, offering new beginnings and a fresh start.
The celebrations of Passover and Easter are keyed to the vernal equinox.
This particular change of season brings in a special energy. Even though I now live in the south, the signs of spring are everywhere. And, even though spring represents the end of our season, rather than the beginning, the flurry of activity feels refreshing and anticipatory.
In colder regions, of course, each sign of spring is met with joy.
In the many years I lived up north I remember a few times it snowed on the first day of spring. Even the irony and disappointment couldn’t mask the happiness I would feel knowing that the calendar said warmer weather was on the way.
Beyond the energy of new beginnings offered by spring is the energy of balance conferred by the equinox itself; the moment when the day and night are of exact equal length.
After that moment, the days become longer, and the nights become shorter. In that moment, there is perfect balance. We can harness and cultivate that energy of balance in our own lives simply by bringing our attention to that planetary energy, now present.
Take a breath, and align yourself with the energy of rebirth, and with that moment of perfect balance.
Join Me Tonight in Fort Lauderdale!
Tonight at 7 pm I will be presenting a psychic gallery at ZeroPointe in Oakland Park. I’ll love to see you there.
In a small group setting and in sacred space, your reading will help you will discover new ways to heal and help those you love. You may even receive a message from a loved one in spirit.
Birth and Balance: A Two-Card Tarot Spread
There is a lot of tradition around performing three-card tarot spreads. Many readers favor reading cards in groups of three. I’m a bit of a fan of two-card tarot spreads. There is power in their simplicity.
Here is a two-card spread to help you take advantage of the available energy generated by the first day of spring. Perform it with tarot or any oracle sometime this week.
Card One: How can I manifest the best right thing in my life at this moment?
Card Two: What can I do to bring balance into my life?
The Week in Review
So many people have asked me to make some new videos for my YouTube channel! Specifically, one person enjoyed my take on the tarot suit of Wands and asked me to cover the other suits. In this quick video I share my thoughts on the suit of Pentacles.

Cards for Your Consideration
For me, of all seventy-eight cards, the Aces most closely match the energy we celebrate this time of year. The Aces represent hatching eggs and sprouting seeds. They herald something new. They also speak of the source or essence of something related to their element (Earth, Air, Fire or Water, depending on suit).
I like to associate Aces with specific chakras. Sometimes they come up in readings that way. An Ace can indicate the need to nurture a specific chakra.
For me, the Ace of Pentacles is the root chakra. The Ace of Cups is the sacral and heart chakras. The Ace of Wands is the Solar Plexus. The Ace of Swords is the throat and brow. My association for the crown chakra is the Magician, the “Ace” of the Major Arcana.
In a reading, Aces can predict something new coming into your life, such as a new idea, a new job, or a new person.
Tarot Class in Palm City This Sunday
This Sunday, March 24, from 4 to 6 pm, I will teach a class called Tarot Keywords and Interpretations in my conference room at 1025 SW Martin Downs Blvd, Suite 203, Palm City.

Whether you are a beginner or advanced tarot reader, chances are you’ve struggled with these questions, and others, as you strive to makes sense of, and find wisdom in, your tarot cards.
I’m excited to teach you some easy-yet-insightful systems for interpreting any combination of cards in any situation. More importantly, I will work to help you learn to find the way your own intuition and spiritual guidance can lead you to find truth in every tarot reading.
Seating for this workshop is limited. Tickets are $37.50. Register online or call 561-655-1160.
