Energy Replicates Itself
An old family photo album.
Have you noticed that if you focus on a particular mood or feeling, that feeling will quickly grow within you? Likewise, if you bring a positive mood to a group of people, you will find your outlook is absolutely infectious. Unfortunately, a negative outlook can work the same way.
Energy transmits like a virus, replicating itself amongst the people we encounter. From this perspective, we can all change the world by spreading good energy to others.
Energy also transmits from generation to generation, replicating itself in ways that are sometimes eerily specific. No matter how hard we try to break generational cycles, we often find ourselves as adults repeating exact scenarios from our earlier years, through no fault of our own.
Generational trauma can be passed down through chemical changes in DNA. We all carry within us the trauma experienced by ancestors from many generations past. That is the scientific explanation for this phenomenon, and it makes sense. There may be other energies passed down to our progeny that are less easy to detect with a microscope.
It’s easy to see that we got our mother’s eyes or our grandfather’s sense of humor. It’s not as easy to understand that within us is trauma experienced by ancestors whose names we may not even know.
Are there energies other than trauma that are replicated from generation to generation? I believe so. I think that our talents, interests, and character traits are influenced by the countless family members who came before us. Some of that is biology, some is family culture, and some may be the energy that replicates itself within family lines.
When we are intentional about which of those energies we want to enhance and which we want to heal, we do a lot to rid ourselves of negative past influences and open the way to a more positive future. I think this can influence our own lives, and also future generations.

The StaarCorner
I hope you have been enjoying the offerings this month in the StaarCon 5 lounge on Accelevents!
The StaarCon AfterGlow began when we discovered that Accelevents would allow us access to the conferencing platform for thirty days after the conference ended. For the past two years, we were able to extend that to a full year.
Being able to meet together regularly online throughout the year is meaningful and fun. Yet, Accelevents has its limitations.
Get ready for StaarCast! We have used this name before, for our podcasts and YouTube channel. Soon, StaarCast will have a whole new life as our new bespoke online platform.
Even as we continue the StaarCon 5 AfterGlow until it ends in January, we will begin beta testing StaarCast, and you will be invited to join us!
Over the past five years, we have built an ongoing community of teachers, mystics, seers, and creators. Now, we are building an online space for that community that will truly meet our needs and allow us to grow, heal, and play together.
Both our online platform and our next in-person gathering will be affordable and easy to navigate, with the same expansive content that you have come to expect from StaarCon.

The Generational Cards in Tarot
There are a few cards in the tarot deck that often tell me generational issues are in play. Seeing these cards can open up a new conversation about how we got here and how to go forward.
The Ten of Pentacles is a card that can reference family property, legacy, and ancestry. Likewise, the Nine of Pentacles can speak of family protection and inheritance.
As a card of the past, the Six of Cups asks us to look at what came before, and our childhood home.
The Empress and Emperor can reference mother and father. Kings and Queens can do the same.
Which cards make you think of generational issues in a reading?

Communities
My grandmother was known as the ‘family historian’. Within the church we attended, there was a person who was the unofficial ‘church historian’. She kept a record of all the births, deaths, and events throughout her lifetime within the community.
Some people enjoy keeping the history of a town or county, or of the lineage of families. There are historical societies and genealogy groups that focus on these pursuits. There is a sense of community and a connection with like-minded people in these organizations.
The ability to learn more about our DNA through the mail has sparked a lot of interest in exploring personal history and origins. I think many people find a greater sense of identity when they know more about where they came from.
There are so many communities whose ancestral lines have been fractured by war, slavery, and other atrocities. Sometimes, the only way we can make connections with our own sense of ancestry is through meditation, mediumship, and divination. There are plenty of communities available to offer support for those practices as well.
