Today is Christmas Eve. Tomorrow, the Twelve Days of Christmas begin, which end on January 5. January 6 marks Epiphany, or Three Kings Day. I love the idea of a holiday season versus a single day. I love that Hanukkah is eight days, that Kwanzaa is seven, and Christmas is twelve. I think if we can have a specific spiritual focus over a designated time period, we create an opportunity for real inspiration and enlightenment.
I also love the word ‘epiphany’ as it has come to be used secularly, to describe an ‘ah-ha moment’ or a psychic download. Whatever holidays you celebrate at this time of year, my family and I wish you the brightest and best of celebrations. And, since the season of Epiphany is upon us, I wish you spiritual connection, creative inspiration, and opportunities for new perspective and understanding.

The development team is installing the final finishing touches to the website! Data transfer from Accelevents to the new site is proceeding as planned, and beta testers should receive their invitations within the next few weeks.
In the months after the StaarCast site opens, we will offer prior speakers the option to make select recorded presentations available to site members via a pay-per-view purchase. Details of the program will be provided soon.

Tarot Epiphanies
In 2021, I committed to a livestream in which I drew cards for ‘tarot epiphanies’ each day of the Twelve Days of Christmas, except on Christmas Day itself. Something I learned from this is that I will think twice before I commit to livestreaming that many days in a row.
The other thing I learned is that the practice of pulling a single card from the deck twelve days in a row and interpreting it as an epiphany, or something that would lead to an epiphany, was a fascinating exercise.
Interpreting cards in context is an important tarot skill. When that context is ‘epiphany,’ we create a huge opportunity to welcome transformative thinking.
While I often ask tarot students to practice the Card of the Day technique, a card of epiphany for twelve days is a very different assignment. I plan to try this exercise this year, not as a livestream but simply as a personal practice. Perhaps you will join me and share your results!
