The Crown Chakra

The Crown Chakra, or Seventh Chakra, is located at the top of our heads. The Crown Chakra is the energy center that allows us to connect with our spiritual nature. While the Brow Chakra, or Third Eye, is the center of our psychic vision and intuition, the Crown Chakra connects us to our spiritual guardians, our ancestors, our loved ones in spirit and our angels.

The Crown Chakra also helps us connect with one another in spiritual fellowship. It is through the Crown Chakra that we comprehend the web with which all life is interconnected.

As we nurture the Crown Chakra, we become more secure in our direction and calling. We are more able to interact with our world in a divine way. We become more peaceful, more centered, and more at ease.

Use the Crown Chakra to Connect with Spirit

There are many meditation and visualization techniques you can use to activate your Crown Chakra. As you focus on your Crown Chakra you will more easily hear the guidance of Spirit in your life.

The Crown Chakra is associated with the colors violet and white. Burning a violet candle, or a white candle, can assist your chakra meditation. Violet-colored gemstones, such as amethyst, will also support your Crown Chakra.

The Crown Chakra is associated with the image of the lotus. Try meditating on a lotus blossom to help you open your Crown Chakra.

To use the Crown Chakra to communicate with those who have passed on, simply focus on an image or picture of the person as you remember them. Breathe, and gather your energy at the top of your head. Release the energy as you visualize a violet light coming from the top of your head and connecting to heaven.

Your experience may be either profound or subtle. Pay attention to what you sense, hear or think as you focus on the image of your loved one and the violet light of the crown chakra.

Clear the Crown with a Pendulum

There are some things you just can’t do for yourself! Using a pendulum on the crown chakra is one of them.

A pendulum is a weighted object, often made of crystal, stone, wood or metal, at the end of a chain or chord. We use pendulums in divination, spirit communication and energy healing.

A pendulum can read the energy of a chakra. A pendulum can also clear and activate the energy of a chakra.

Hold the pendulum over the crown chakra and visual the crown chakra opening, clearing, spinning and activating. No matter how still you try to hold the pendulum, it will move! As the pendulum moves, the energy of the chakra moves.

If you hold the pendulum over the chakra and it doesn’t move in a clear circle, try adding some Reiki energy, healing touch, prayer or meditation. When you try the pendulum again, you will certain see a difference.

A wide swinging circle is the motion that will clear the chakra. It is also the motion that the pendulum will naturally make when the Chakra is activated.

Learning Tarot: Three of Swords

In tarot, the number Three indicates a product. That is, something that is created from what has come before.

In the suit of Swords, we see a story emerge. With the Ace, we have a wonderful new idea. With the Two, decisions about how to move that idea forward must be made.

The Three of Swords illustrates the sorrow that some decisions can bring. Traditionally, the Three of Swords is the card of the lover’s triangle. The Three of Swords can indicate betrayal and sadness.

When we think of the Swords as ideas, thoughts and words, the Three of Swords shows us how our thoughts and words can injure the heart.

The Three of Swords in a reading can indicate heartache, sorrow, stress and the need to heal the heart.

A positive aspect of this card is that it offers the opportunity for healing.

Next week we will see that healing in action as we explore the next card, the Four of Swords.

Your One-Card Weekly Reading

Your One-card reading this week is the Eight of Pentacles.

The Eight of Pentacles can be about hands-on learning. Now is the time to take the opportunity to learn something new, either in your career or in your creative or spiritual life.

The Eight of Pentacles is not about book learning; don’t just read about something and stop there! You actually need to find the courage to grow, to stretch your knowledge and become proficient at something new.

Don’t be afraid of the learning curve. Learning means making mistakes. Practice makes perfect.

Whether it’s about career, education or personal growth, the Eight of Pentacles supports you in your journey to know more and do more. Find the teachers who inspire you, and learn from them. Don’t forget that experience can be one of your best teachers.

The Four Elements and the Major Arcana

The four elements of life are Earth, Air, Fire and Water. They each have metaphysical properties as well as physical properties.

The four elements correlate with the four suits of the Minor Arcana of the tarot. They also correlate with individual cards of the Major Arcana.

The term “Major Arcana” means “Greater Secrets.” The twenty-two cards of the Major Arcana contain the most spiritual messages and lessons of the tarot, and tell the story of our journey through life.

When we learn the elemental associations for each of the Major Arcana cards, we have a clear way to understand these important cards.

This 75 minute webinar will help the tarot student more fully understand the four elements. It will provide a deeper way to comprehend each of the Major Arcana cards. The student will be able to more fully interpret the Major Arcana cards, whether reading for yourself or others.
